The Gift That Gives All Winter Long

If you know me, you know I like to keep things very minimal. This applies to toys, clothes, all the things. When it comes to the holiday gifting, we try to stick to a “theme” you may have heard of. We do our Santa gift, and then we have 4 categories. Want, Need, Wear, Read. It has been so helpful in keeping things under control with over spending on things we don’t really need! Today I wanted to talk to you about the wear category. I love using holidays/gifting as a way to stock up on things myself and the kids actually need in our wardrobe, not just extras. When it comes to Christmas, good quality winter coats always win. They can be an investment, but can really be the gift that keeps on giving all year long, so I wanted to share some of my favorites with you today.

If you asked me for advice on picking out a winter coat a few years ago, I would have just laughed. I grew up in sunny St. George where a good quality coat is not something we ever really needed. Temperatures don’t drop too low and snow is pretty rare. Fast forward to now where we can expect freezing temperatures for a good 5 months, and I knew I had to find the best of the best. A friend of mine recommended The North Face and I have been obsessed ever since. First up is the quality of these coats. In my opinion, you won’t find better.
