Since we found out that we were having Harper, I’ve been on the search for a really good recliner. We bought a lazy boy recliner over 10 years ago when we had Hunter, but it was time to finally update after four more babies. I asked you all on Instagram what your favorite rocker + recliners were. Most people said they did nursery gliders, but we knew we wanted one that reclined. Not a huge Lazy Boy and I wanted it to look really modern. I searched for weeks and finally read all the reviews and compared a ton and we ended up going with the Monte Design recliner + glider.

I rounded up the top four rockers/recliners that you all recomended + suggestions from friends, and more. I think getting a rocker/recliner is definitely an investment piece!! So before buying, I would think about how much time your going to spend in the chair. I was willing to pay a bit more because I knew how much time we spent in out last rocker.  I love to nurse in it, rock my babies to sleep and hold them when they are sick and need to be upright. We wanted to be able to kick back and sleep like we have done with all our other babies. We pretty much lived in our Lazy Boy and I knew it would be the same for this chair as well. Plus our little people love to cuddle up in it and read stories… so for us it is a timeless piece.

Monte Design: I love this one (this is the one we have). It fully reclines and I love that it is a recliner + a glider in one chair. We went with leather because it wipes up nice and I love the modern look it gives. Plus it’s really comfortable!

Oilo Glider:  I love the big arms and that the sides go up high around your head so you have something to rest your head on. I was able to try this rocker out for the shoot for a few weeks. I really liked the glider aspect of it, but we knew we wanted a recliner as well.

Pottery Barn Kids: a lot of people said they like this one. I tried them out in the store and really liked them. They were super comfy, soft, and I loved the fabric options! But again it came down to we wanted one that would fully recline.

Target: Here is a not as expensive one for those people who aren’t ready to invest in a rocker yet. This one is a glider + a recliner like mine. I love the modern look to this one!

Really in the end TEST them out if you can. Go with what your budget allows. I would much rather have a cheaper crib and spend more on my recliner that I can mover from room to room and use after baby. Also, read reviews but don’t always go strictly off of those — because again everyone has their own opinion. haha. And remember if your going to have more babies buy the one you love and you know you’ll use the most. That is my suggestion. I wanted this recliner with Houston and went with a way cheaper option and I was kicking myself the whole time!!
