We are so excited to take you in for a better look at the boys room today!  Even after the time we have lived here, I still am so happy with how it turned out, and the boys love it!!

When it came to designing this space, I wanted to keep it really simple + timeless. With the age gap between Hudson + Houston, I wanted the room to be able to fit both of them. I didn’t want anything too babyish, but also not too grown up, if that makes sense. We went with a pretty neutral pallet, and since blue is Hudson’s favorite color we added that in as well! As far as the beds go, we went with two twins instead of bunk beds. With Hudson being older, we figured he would have a later bed time, and didn’t want to have to worry about bed noises with him climbing in the same bed as Houston.

I also didn’t want any big bulky furniture or accessories. We went without a dresser in this space, because to me that is just more stuff to keep organized!  All of their clothes are organized in the closet and most of the toys stay in our Playroom Closet.

I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out! If you have any questions, let me know!!

  1. I love this design! Just wondering if you knew the came of the pendants? They look so good in the space. Thanks 🙂

  2. Love the simplicity of this and the lights! Could you do a post on the kid’s closets? I love all your pantry and playroom organization but I would love to see some clothing ones too!

  3. This looks so cozy!! I have a really small question….how do you put the rugs on the carpet and stop them from shifting about? Is there a special layer underneath the rug? I’ve always wondered how to do it, because I love the layered look it gives having a rug on a carpet, but every time I’ve done it I get the rug lifting or going wavy…

  4. The room looks so good! I noticed you have the Harper Rug, what are your thoughts? I was thinking of it for my living room.

    1. We’ve only had it for about a week but so far we are really loving it! I especially love the coloring.

  5. Love this! when your boys sleep do they use a “sleep” pillow separate from the ones displayed? or do they just use what we see.

    1. The quilt is actually gray not tan. It is the one linked in the fog option!

The sheets are the Midnight option.

The throw pillows should all be linked right under the picture! Let me know if you ahve any other questions.

  6. Hello, i am slightly COPING THIS boys room look, but because my walls are a DIFFERENT color it DOESN’T look So bright and refreshing. Is that a white or grAy on your walls? Any ideawha color it is?
