Since the new year has hit, I have been itching to change the kids’ rooms. Not sure what it is, but I swear this happens every year. I want new bedding or (sheets will do), fresh updated pictures in all the frames in the house, a good cleaning and chucking of old clothes and toys, and list could go on. Please tell me some of you feel this way or have some sort of urge/thing with the new year?!
The two older ones have not been sleeping well in the same bed for the past few months. Nightly I’ll hear from the room…”you touched me, don’t cross this pretend line, you are hogging the blanket.” So after many late nights of that I packed up the kids and headed down to Ikea to snatch up two twin beds. I brought them home and started assembling myself. Good thing Joe got home early or I would have been up all night, because I was bound and determined that everyone was going to sleep peacefully that night. Good news, since a week ago the sleeping situation is back to is fabulous self!
Below are our “beloved” beds from Ikea and the millions of ideas + inspiration I have for the kids rooms. When I find the time + finally finish up the rooms I’ll post a before and after.
