We are home from our trip to Mexico! I’ve been getting so many questions about where we stayed and what we did, so I thought it would be easiest if I shared all the details in a blog post. We spent a full week there for a family reunion with Joe’s family and had the best time! Scroll down to get all the details about the resort, where we ate, what we did, and more!

: WHERE WE STAYED
We stayed at The Grand Mayan in Nuevo Vallarta! It’s a Vidanta resort and we absolutely loved it. The resort was so kid-friendly! The kids were entertained all day with the water slide, lazy river, the many pools, water aerobics, and games by the pool! My kids always looked forward to playing Bingo each day, haha! It was so fun to see all the cousins running around together.
My kids loved walking down to the beach and spending time there. We rented boogie boards a few times and they loved that! Harper and Houston spent most of their time looking for seashells while the other kids played in the beach. Overall, the resort was a perfect place for our family and extended family. The staff was amazing, the rooms were fabulous, the resort was beautiful, and the weather was perfect!
: WHAT WE ATE
For breakfast, we would just make something in our hotel room. While we hung out by the pool all day, we’d order pina coladas, nachos, and other snacks to keep us full until dinner. Then we would go somewhere fun for dinner! The resort had a lot of on-site restaurants so that made it easy. We ate at the Burger Custom Made and that was one of our favorites! So yummy! Tacos Break is a good choice too. We also went to Baracuda’s that was off the resort. It was a 15-20 minute walk from the resort.

: WHAT WE DID
Besides hanging around the pool and beach, we did a few fun activities! Joe and Hudson went deep sea fishing with some of Joe’s brothers and their sons! They had a great time, but you all know that Hudson got really sick afterwards for the next few days. So we’re thinking that it was from his non-drowsy medicine. Poor kid!
Joe, Hunter, Hayden and I went on a dinner cruise and it was amazing! We booked it with Vallarta Adventures. They took us on a sunset boat ride to a private island where we enjoyed a buffet dinner and an amazing show. It was seriously the coolest experience!
Another thing we did was we took the kids to a waterpark called Aqua Ventures and we spent the whole day there! It had a ton of slides, a lazy river, a rope course, and more. The kids really enjoyed it!
One of my favorite parts of the trip was playing werewolf with everyone! I’ve talked about this game a million times, but it seriously is the best game. Especially with a big group of people! Be sure to check it out, it would make the best gift.
