How to Prep Your Closet for Fall

I don’t know about you, but it feels like summer is FLYING by over here! It has been busy and so fun with my people. I can’t believe we are a month away from school starting again! While we are still sweating our way through the rest of July + August, I have started gearing up for the changes Fall brings. One of the biggest is in the closet! I love finding the perfect pieces that make it possible to take pieces from your summer wardrobe and transition them to Fall. I’ve put together some of my top must haves to make prepping quick and easy.

… CARDIGANS…

When it comes to fall staples, cardigans have my number one vote! Fall style is all about layering and they make the perfect addition to any look. You can take a summer tee and jeans, and transition it straight into fall by just throwing on a cardigan. On top of being an easy fix to the season change, they are so comfortable. I finally got rid of my old robe (my mom is so thrilled about this) and have replaced it with a cardigan because they are that cozy. I love that they pair well with a tee and jeans, or over the top of a dress with booties, you can’t go wrong! When the Utah winters start to kick in , I love to pair a chunkier cardigan with a beanie for a cozy go to.

Utah weather can be a little unpredictable. It isn’t a bad idea to stock up on a good coat or two for the Fall too. I am always on the lookout for a coat that of course does its job in keeping me warm, but doesn’t completely drowned me and any sign of a figure. haha you know what I mean right?! So I was thrilled when I found these two this year. The olive one is so dang warm but I love how fitted and cozy it is. The mustard is such a fun pop to any outfit and again so warm!
