Day to Night Look : Striped Dress

School started up this week for the two older kids but me and the three youngest are still trying to hang on to every last bit of summer!! (even though having a little more of a schedule will be nice too, haha!).

It’s no surprise I love a good ‘day to night’ outfit, so when Amazon reached out to me about the Ella Moon Collection, I was instantly drawn to the items that I knew could easily be dressed up or down — my favorite being this darling striped dress that is perfect for fall! Styling a Day to Night look is really so simple, with just a few accessory changes you can create a whole new look!

My favorite thing about this dress is how the simple t-shirt style of it keeps me feeling comfortable, while the lacy design gives it that delicate, girly feel at the same time. It’s also no secret black and white is my favorite go to color palette, so the second I saw it, I knew it was a must have in my book! The collection is full of other great pieces that make styling a day to night look a breeze! I’ve been eyeing this gorgeous navy lace/net top and think it would be darling paired with some ripped denim and nude heels for date night.

If you’re on a budget (like most of us are) my best advice is to buy staple pieces that you can dress multiply ways!! By having those signature pieces, you can create more outfits out of less items, and at the same time it simplifies your closet. Did you know most of us only wear a handful of items in our closet? You’d be surprised how a basic black heel and leather jacket can dress up almost any outfit in your wardrobe!!
