Last Friday, I met up with a few of my girlfriends from blogging for a quick 24 hour trip at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. It took awhile to get everyones schedules to coordinate so we could all come the same weekend, but it was so worth it!!
Our first stop on Friday was at Olive & June to get our nails done. This was my first time here and it did not disappoint. My nail girl was so sweet and did such a great job. (that’s a lot coming from me because I am kinda picky) Its the cosmetologist in me. Next, we went over to Cecconi’s in West Hollywood for dinner, and of course we had to make a stop at Sprinkles for the BEST ice cream ever!!
Saturday morning, we had signed up for a spin class at Fly Wheel. Staying up till 2:30 am talking the night before, made waking up at 7am felt like the crack of dawn. (clearly we were not thinking when we signed up for the class…haha) This was my very first spin class and I was a tad nervous, because I had no idea what to expect. I had completely prepaid myself that I might fall of the bike — but all was well and I survived!! haha. It was actually so fun and I would do it again — but really those spinners are amazing + hard core!!
After spin we ate the breakfast buffet at the Beverly Hilton, then got changed for the pool. We reserved two cabanas right outside our room by the pool and we spent most of our time with all five of us on one. Finally, for lunch the chef made us a special five course meal along with dessert — really who eats like this? It was such a treat to be catered to + be able to eat my meals hot. It’s the simple things, right?
Let me just let you know…the morning of I was a stress ball. Trying to clean house, make sure my people had food and clean clothes for the weekend, and me trying to pack with a teething one year old was almost too much. Most of all, it’s not alway easy to get away, but the 24 hours filled with goodness and these amazing women was just what I needed!! I think we all need that every once in awhile. I’m use to this kind of pampering but it was amazing, and I am so grateful for the short break and the stronger friendships made.
